Sandcastles
A funny thing happens when you ask Aunty Cole to help you build a sandcastle. It starts off well enough, a castle, a few outbuildings, a moat, you know the usual.

They are pretty complete, with a forest/zoo:

And those suburbanites need their pools:

Over-development means some of the shore-side condos are at risk at high tide, so naturally a seawall needs to be installed. The seawall presents its own problems, but a little engineering work and a few aquaducts later the river is flowing again:

And just in case you think this is a two-bit operation, you’ll notice the paved (and curbed) streets, the acorn chimneys on each roof, the landscaping and seashell doors:
And finally, what every good city needs, their own flock of guard mergansers:

How cool is that??? Bet V thought it was awesome
Oh ya, she really, really did not want us to disassemble them.
This is ridiculously cool! I want an aunt like that
Reblogged this on Summer Solstice Musings and commented:
Now, THAT’s a Sandcastle!!!
So worth the wait to see – awesome, awesome job!
Were you able to see them on your machine or did you have to resort to Willy’s? That is so weird.
