Turn that frown upside down
I don’t even know how I got side-tracked by the post that went nowhere, but here’s the post I intended to write:
Want to know how to turn this –
A couple of weeks ago I won tickets to the Bell’s Corners Fair on OttawaStart.com. Unlike DaniGirl I wasn’t smart enough to go on the first (and only) nice day, and the Saturday when I was available was rained out. I was disappointed that we weren’t going to be able to use this prize. V loved her first fair last year, and I’d never been to one of these little ones.
Then Chris from Classic Amusements contacted me to offer an alternative week at the Kanata South Days Fair. Which was super nice of him (and completely unnecessary!) and of course I said yes. Sadly this week shaped up much like the week of the Bell’s Corners fair (thank you May!) and I was convinced, especially while dragging a soggy toddler through Touch A Truck – oh that did not go over well (see the first pic), that we would miss out on the freebie.
But we took a moment to get recharged, dried and fed at my sister’s, (and I wound her kids up just in time for naps or quiet time) then we headed out. Somewhere between her place and ours we realized the gloom was lifting and decided to chance the fair. Based on not being able to keep her away from the rides and her post-fair interview, I can see us hitting a few more of these this summer. V highly recommends them *g*
She’s just beautiful
Thanks Amy, I’m a bit biased, but I whole-heartedly agree *g*
Very nice pics. She’s a cutie pie.
