Introduction and thanks
First of all, I’d like to introduce you to my (newly shorn) husband, Bill:
(Erin at Mahogany Spa is responsible for cleaning up the mess we made of his mop)
His fundraiser Wednesday managed to raise just over $6300 for the Jessica McCoy fund and an additional $300 was raised for Angel Hair.
Talk about a family affair. My sister matched my contribution for the 100 comments and likes on my post, and my brother’s unique fundraising style (tell everyone you meet to give you $20 for the fundraiser) meant we had a combined total of $1775 and a winning bid to cut one braid:
I would specifically like to thank Dwayne Neilson of Ottawafootdoctor.com for his generous donation to our total and the staff at Reliance Protectron and BG Distribution – Brunet Goulard for their staff donations. Here’s the result!
Earla Richards, my husband’s coworker was a very determined lady, raising $1034 on her own, securing the right to cut the second braid (she brought her own scissors and was gracious enough to lend them to me):
(I think she’s enjoying herself too much *g*)
But wait! It gets better. The union chipped in $1000 if Bill’s boss “Mr. Perfect Hair” would shave his hair down to a #2. They passed the bucket at the BBQ and ended up raising another $500. So here’s what a $1500 headshave looks like:
Marianne Graham, who got the ball rolling on the Angel Hair donation had her clippers handy and was glad to provide the cut. Thank you Marianne!
Thank you to the commenters and my friends and family who donated so generously. It was a great event and the family appreciates the support.
They both look hot! This is so impressive and for a great cause – definitely brings a tear of joy!!!! Rockin cool as far as I’m concerned 🙂
He looks awesome! Congratulations on your substantial achievement! Very impressive indeed. What did V think of her “new” dad?
Congrats to you all. What an amazing and wonderful fundraiser. And such bravery! Nice job cleaning up there, Bill! : )
He looks great! And all that money for a good cause, even better! : )
It looks great! Totally suits him
OMG! He’s so handsome without the braid! (Sorry, I hope he isn’t offended!) Fantastic job with the fundraising, amazing that the boss stepped in too and what a wonderful time. I have to agree though, your husband’s co-worker Earla looks like she’s enjoying herself far too much!
I love the new do! And for a great cause too 🙂
Impressed that he posed for a picture for you!
Oh wow….looks fantastic!!! Way to go Bill, Corey, the family and those that contributed to this great cause.
