Conversations with V – Imagine
August 30, 2011
Spending some valuable cuddle time in our hammock, rocking between two trees on a sunny afternoon. A puff of a breeze blows through some leaves:
V – ‘Look mamma, the leaves are talking!’
Me – ‘What do you think they’re saying?’
(The breeze picks up and they all start rustling)
V – ‘They’re singing!
================================
Hubby was driving, I was in the passenger seat. I looked back in to the rear-view mirror to see her fingers flailing, lacing and unlacing:
Me (laughing) – ‘What are you doing?’
V – ‘My fingers are fighting!’
================================
I want to live in a world where the leaves sing and my hands will break out into street fights with each other.

Aww, that’s beautiful! Children do have a magical way of seeing the world don’t they?
I really need to make sure my world view is coloured by wonder more often.
Kids are crazy. They say stuff that is so funny and you can always embarrass them with their anecdotes once they grow up. Like when I was around 4 or 5 and saw a blond headed boy for the first time, I told my mom that the boy had cheese on his head!
Yeah. that was 30 years ago.
Haha! That is awesome, what a great explanation. So do they remind you about it all the time now?
*sigh*
Me too.
If I can’t have that I’ll take more hammock time. *g*
