The world may have ended a little bit

March 8, 2011

It’s true. And if that’s not true, then maybe hell got a tad chilly.

Hear that? Devil needs a coat now
Property of GoodLife? I think I should have read that contract a bit better…

I can’t wait to find out if this will be any more useful to me than that treadmill stuck in the corner of my family room!

In a staggering display of genius I realized tonight I can avoid my biggest fear – the change room, as I live 5 minutes from the nearest location (and my employer has an office directly across the street in case I really, really need a shower). I have exactly no need to use the hall of judgement and naked phone talkers and no one there will ever know if my bleary-eyes are stumbling in attached to a pair of freshly shaved legs. 🙂

Naked phone talkers? Seriously? I guess there are benefits to a gym at the office, maybe people are a little more… discreet(?) if they know they have to face you across a meeting table.

The one that always cracks me up is the one time my husband used the men’s change room and there was a guy on the phone doing naked lunges in the middle of the changeroom…I’ll give you a minute. *snort*

First of all you look awesome.
Second of all, no one judges people in the change rooms because everyone is too busy feeling insecure about themselves.
Thirdly, what if they did judge? They would only be thinking “oh boy, that person should really go to the gym…oh, right.”

Thanks! I’m sure it is an irrational fear (well, except for the unshaved legs) but I’ve had the same issues in the past getting myself to go new places like university classes. Total anxiety.

C'mon, tell me what you think. You know you want to!
